Tesco Bank introduces savvy travel money offers in time for Easter
31 March 2015
Tesco Bank Travel Money is helping customers make their holiday spending money go further this Easter by offering customers £5 off every £500 they spend on foreign currency1 until 21st April at over 200 travel money bureaux within Tesco stores across the UK.
Tesco Bank has also introduced the MasterCard Multi-Currency Cash Passport to its travel money offering which provides customers with a simple, secure and smart way to spend on holiday. The Cash Passport allows you to lock in the exchange rate on each currency and only carries the money the customer has pre-loaded onto it, helping savvy shoppers stick to their budget. It also features chip-and-pin technology providing an additional level of security, making the card safer than carrying large amounts of cash.
It is widely accepted at shops, hotels and restaurants around the world without purchase fees2, and a simple flat fee for withdrawing cash at ATMs3, regardless of how much is being withdrawn, making it easier for customers to keep track of their holiday spending. The Multi-Currency Cash Passport can carry many different currencies at a time, including the Euro, US Dollar and Australian Dollar, and knows which currency to spend depending on where the traveller is in the world4.
David McCreadie, Managing Director of Banking at Tesco Bank, said,
"With almost a third of Brits who are going on holiday this Easter set to jet off overseas5, Tesco Bank provides holidaymakers with good rates on travel money, including cash, travellers cheques and now the Multi-Currency Cash Passport, all available at our UK-wide network of travel money bureaux within Tesco stores across the UK."
