Tesco Bank announce appointment of Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Tesco Bank has today announced the appointment of Declan Hourican to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Benny Higgins, Tesco Bank Chief Executive Officer, said:
“I’m delighted that someone of Declan’s calibre has been appointed to this critically important position. Declan has a proven track record of helping provide outstanding service for customers, and he will play an important role in helping Tesco Bank deliver its ambition to be the bank for people who shop at Tesco.”
Declan will take up the role on 3 October 2016, when he will become a member of the Tesco Bank Executive Committee and Board. Peter Bole will continue in the CFO role until Declan joins in October.

Declan Hourican joins Tesco Bank after 14 years at Royal Bank of Scotland Group, latterly as Chief Finance and Administrative Officer in the Group’s Restructuring Division [2012 – present]. Prior roles at Royal Bank of Scotland Group, included Chief Financial Officer, Non-Core Division, and Chief Financial Officer, Global Restructuring Group. Declan is a graduate of University College Dublin and the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business, Dublin, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
