LGBTQ+ @ Tesco Bank

We’re committed to being an employer that’s inclusive and open to all, whatever your sexuality or gender.

With more than 2,500 members across the whole Tesco Group, our LGBTQ+ at Tesco network is one of the biggest of its kind in Europe. But it isn’t just big – it’s also award winning, having been named as Colleague Network of the Year 2017 by Stonewall Scotland and Colleague Network of the Year by Inclusive Networks in 2016.

The network is there for colleagues whenever they need it, with mentoring, career development advice and support. It also plays an important role in making sure we meet LGBTQ+ customers’ needs, and in working across the LGBTQ+ community to support a range of different initiatives. At Tesco Bank we have our own LGBTQ+ at Tesco Bank Colleague Network which works closely with the wider Tesco Group Network. Each of our Colleague Networks at Tesco Bank work towards our strategy of: increasing representation, role modelling inclusion and using our voice, working to elevate the voices of our underrepresented colleagues and share their stories.

Pride

Pride events are an important part of our calendar. Tesco doesn’t just sponsor – colleagues across the Group including Tesco Bank take part in their thousands This year our LGBTQ+ at Tesco Bank Colleague Network supported colleagues in the celebration of local Pride Events, namely Edinburgh, and Northern Pride as well as successful internal and external promotion of LGBTQ+ History Month, focusing on colleague life experiences and how we can learn from these.
